Since Indiana is freely redistributable, there won't be AFAIK any support for those formats you've listed due to licensing issues. You, however, will probably be able to easily install mplayer and similar software to play any video/audio files you want. > How extensive will the automated package management > be compared to aptitude and yum? Almost all opensource software is available on solaris as well. Give us some examples of software you have on Ubuntu and lack on OpenSolaris ? > How about driver support? What do you mean by that ? Hardware 3d acceleration is available for quite some time now for Intel and nVidia cards. There's experimental 3d acceleration for some older ATI cards, as for newer ones, that'll come once radeonhd driver will get 3d support. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
