I had the impression that no matter what, there will only be two ISO 
releases per year.  For everything else we use IPS?

BTW I like how Ubuntu has an Updates Manager that runs in the "system 
tray" and the icon changes when there are updates for me to install.  I 
click it, it shows me what it found and I click one button to allow the 
updates.
