Hi,

Give me the following information and I will send you the correct invocation 
for bootadm

1. The mountpoint that contains the GRUB menu.

  For example for UFS   /a
  For ZFS     /rpool

2. The slice that contains the root filesystem (either UFS or ZFS)
    for example  /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0. Make sure this exists i.e. fstyp -a works 
on it.
