You're right, I have 'set force_fastreboot=1' in /etc/system.

I was using the driver from
    http://solaris-x86.eng/nVIDIA/NVIDIA-Solaris-x86-177.80-xVM.run
and it was dropping to text mode when coming up from a fast reboot.
After I installed the driver from
    http://home.comcast.net/~jdmartin99/NVIDIA-Solaris-x86-177.80-xVM.run
the screen would no longer drop to text mode, and after a 'reboot -f',
the first thing I'd see would be the nvidia logo.
I did a fast reboot when I was first booting with the new driver (the
one from comcast.net). However, if I do a slow reboot after I install
the driver at comcast.net, Any subsequent fast reboot will drop me to
text mode when booting up.
