These are fun comments... I don't work for Sun, but...

1) May want to try the 11/08 install
2) If the problem persists after updating file a bug report
3) I would classify those trying to run Oracle on os2008* as "crazy". 
Regardless of that I don't think it's a supported system..? (Someone 
correct me if I'm wrong)
