1. Finally on the VirtualBox vdi, I am able to boot back to the original
os0811 installation (thanks a whole bunch to the great ZFS!) I tried two
separate update options (again, you've got to love ZFS), "pkg install entire"
and "pkg image-update" in two BE's. After applied the pkg fix, I am still
unable to boot into either updated boot environment. Time to give up.

2. I then downloaded and installed the os0906_107 iso image (with VirtualBox,
this does not take any effort). The installation was successful (I am posting
this message from build 107), however, the initial booting took several
minutes, and it defaulted to 1280 x 1024 resolution. I changed the screen
resolution to a smaller screen, but the splash screen still showed up as part
of a enlarged virtual window.

3. Also, I am unable to install the Guest Addition. I am running VirtualBox
2.1.2 in Vista.

Submitted as Bug 6770.
