Hi,

now that OpenSolaris supports suspend/resume on my Thinkpad T61p itÅ› time to
migrate from Ubuntu to OpenSolaris.

I already installed OpenSolaris 11.2008 and in general it works pretty good.
There are some minor things that I would like to fix:

1. Everytime OpenSolaris boots and after every resume from suspend the dialog
to add a new Printer pops up for my USB printer. I already added the USB
printer so this is a bit anoying.

2. The network adapter is not configured after a resume. After each resume I
must manually restart the nwam service to configure the network adapter using

svcadm restart svc:/network/physical:nwam

3. The SD Slot does not work in OpenSolaris 11.2008 :

Apr 18 12:34:32 t61p genunix: [ID 311833 kern.warning] WARNING: sdhost0: slot
0: Failed to IDLE card
Apr 18 12:34:32 t61p genunix: [ID 988679 kern.warning] WARNING: sdhost0: slot
0: Unable to initialize card!

It does work in the current release for OpenSolaris 06.2009 -- so the question
is: How can I upgrade only the driver for the SD card?
(I must admit that I do not really understand the new packaging system at this
time)

4. In Ubuntu I can use Fn-F4 to suspend the T61p -- can this be configured in
OpenSolaris also?

5. In Ubuntu the T61p resumes after opening the Display - can this be
configured in OpenSolaris also?

regards

Bernd
