Is the preferred way to use usbcopy to copy the usb image to the memory stick or is there something more that needs to be written to the usb memory ?
I copied osol-1002-118-x86.usb to a 4G stick using usbcopy from http://src.opensolaris.org/source/raw/caiman/slim_source/usr/src/cmd/install-tools/usbcopy with no errors. I was doing this on a laptop running build 111. When I try booting from this USB on a laptop after the grub menu I get a lot of errors about missing devices and end up in the maintenance mode. I cannot do anything. As soon as I type any command I always get errors "usr/bin/hostname: Nu such file". Is there any know problems with the 1002-118-x86.usb image or am I missing something.
