Thanks for your suggestions. I could not identify whether the "device
not found errors" I got during boot from USB stick were related to the
hardware USB subsystem on my laptop or related to the osol boot image
so I gave up on that and instead burned a CD image and booted from
a USB DVD drive. There where no problems in booting and installing
this build 118 from the live CD.
