Hmmm. Strangely that fixed it. I say strangely because previously, when it failed, the download did not stall - it sat happily counting up the megabytes, then failed.
It also seems to use a rather large amount of CPU time when it is downloading -
perhaps it does some sort of checksumming as it is doing the download?
Yes, the data is md5'd as it is downloaded, and if the expected checksum
doesn't occur, it gets re-downloaded.
The 'looping' you are seeing is because the download failed, but that's
due to bug 10010 (indirectly) which is fixed and the fix for will show
up in 120:
