Michael:

The bugster cr 6780900 is not fixed yet. I had added your information to the bugster cr.

Well, that's not really true in this case. I see support for MacOS, Windows
and Linux in the code. I'm getting closer. Hope to be done today. This
bug was closed but it doesn't look like it was fixed.

How does this get fixed in the OpenSolaris pkg?

pfexec ln -s /usr/bin/aclocal-1.10 /usr/bin/aclocal
pfexec ln -s /usr/bin/automake-1.10 /usr/bin/automake

Can we fix this also?

It's simply a waste of time trying to download anything from the Internet
these days and trying to compile it on Solaris/OpenSolaris. Linux is a
few
yum installs and I can just get my work done. It's really getting hard to
justify the extra effort that I need to put into OpenSolaris.

As frustrated as you might be, the developers of those projects are usually
the cause. They generally don't care about software portability.

The irony here is that the GNU/Linux world went through the same pain when
most software was written to run on *NIX systems such as SunOS, etc.

Cheers,
