'pkg install SUNWsvn' completes for me without errors, and 'pkg contents
SUNWsvn' shows that the svn binary should be at /usr/bin/svn. Nada.
I've tried 'pkg verify SUNWsvn' and got no errors, uninstalling and
reinstalling several times, and still nothing.

What's the output of "pkg list"?

(you probably don't want to post that in an email; I'd suggest placing a file somewhere for retrieval)

Also, did you check 'beadm list' to be certain it was installed to the correct boot environment? This could happen if it believed for some reason that installing SUNWsvn required a reboot...
