'pkg install SUNWsvn' completes for me without errors, and 'pkg contents
SUNWsvn' shows that the svn binary should be at /usr/bin/svn. Nada.
I've tried 'pkg verify SUNWsvn' and got no errors, uninstalling and
reinstalling several times, and still nothing.

Can anyone give me a clue?

Thanks,

Hi David -

What build of OpenSolaris are you working with and which repo are you installing from? I just installed the latest from the opensolaris/dev repo on a system with bld121, and
it installed w/o a problem. svn is in /usr/bin as expected.

unknown:/usr/bin# ls -al svn
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin 123696 Oct 7 21:54 svn

This is the pkg version I installed:
# pkg info -r SUNWsvn
         Name: SUNWsvn
      Summary: Subversion
     Category: Development/Source Code Management
        State: Not installed
    Publisher: opensolaris.org
      Version: 1.4.3
Build Release: 5.11
       Branch: 0.124
Packaging Date: Fri Sep 25 22:10:19 2009
         Size: 5.89 MB
         FMRI: pkg:/[email protected],5.11-0.124:20090925T221019Z
