Gargji, In start of 2008, I was little bored with same brown/green birds known as waders/warblers and babblers. I was exploring more options, which my camera can photograph. I was given three options to chose from 1) Butterflies 2) Reptiles & 3) Flora. I called up few of my frnds experts in Mumbai on the above said categories to take their suggestions. Flora in common language is known to be very complex subject with all sci-fi words, little difficult for commerce guy like me to understand it. That time the book of Indian butterflies was just launched up and so was the excitement by me on these winged beauties. But B. flies were difficult for me to chase in initial days, when I started photographing them. I looked back to my frnds again to guide me on the options to focus upon. I was routed to Ms. Swapna Prabhu to take her suggestion in how an I look forward to the said complex subject of flora than. Swapna , with her Mumbai's English accent guided me on my easy approach to th botany. Based on her valuable suggestion (through telecon, which lasted for more than 18 minutes) I immediately invested around 1800 Rs in books of Flowers & started exploring th Jungle around Mumai/Matheran & Lonavala (rajmachi). Today, with just because of guidance (made easy) on flora , I have around 400-500 Flora pics of my region.
