Thanks Surajit for the detailed analysis.
Probably my comment about the leaf shape's uniqueness was in haste. I had
Hibiscus hirtus or something similar in my mind. But that is also without
much study.
I also agree that it doesn't look like
*Pentapetes phoenicea*
I need to keep it's ID as  just pending.
I am sure someone with similar flower will come up some day on this forum
and then we can have genuine guesses. Thanks for responding.
