somewhat inflated, puberulent when young, glabrous when mature, not curved,
30-40 seeded, not torulose when mature40   40aLeaflets 4-9 cm long, acute
or mucronate, branches not purple*Senna sophera* var. *sophera*40bLeaflets
less than 3 cm long, obtuse at apex; branches slender, purple*Senna sophera*
 var. *purpurea*
