you have stated the purpose of the choice correctly, however it still ignore a fact that many times there is a button call "Set As Default" and that meaning will be better covered by "पूर्वनिर्धारित" and "Default" will be better covered by "मूलस्पष्टी किंवा पूर्वस्पष्टी". But this is again a moot point.. and whatever works well with most may stick with the ultimate outcome, not what शिरीष or somebody else predecides... :-) On a different toppic we need to have a forum like http://marathishabda.com which can be used for meaningful discussions about the meaning of words etc. i know that administrator on there will be more than willing to have such discussions there.
