More than
three years on! 12 languages  are with FUEL. Till now, FUEL had
already organised 8 languages workshops
for evaluating terminology. Released the beta of 'Computer Translation
Style and Convention Guide for Hindi.'A lot
more to do. 

Initiated by Red Hat, the project got
supports and contributions from several languages communities and
various organizations like CDAC GIST, Indlinux, Sarai, CDAC
Chennai, Acharya Nagarjuna University, A. N. Sinha Institute of Socail
Studies, Maithili Academy, Gujarati Lexicon, Infineon Infotech,
NRCFOSS, SICSR, Gnunify, Sahit Academy, PLUG, SMC, to name a few. 

We need volunteers to work on different fields of FUEL
project. If you want to contribute please contact us.

English Maithili Dictionary

In a "English-Maithili
Dictionary"  By Gajendra Thakur, Nagendra Kumar Jha, Panjikar
Vidyanand Jha, credit (Special Thanks) is given to FUEL project. This
dictinary contains new technology related words and it has accepted the
FUEL words in the dictionary. We thank Gajendra Thakur and all the
people associated with this dictionary project to popularize our
efforts.

Kazakh and Bhojpuri Language

Kazakh is a
Turkic language closely related to Nogai and Karakalpak. We got request
from Kazakh language by Kamilla Kurmanova. On FUEL, please stay tuned
with FUEL
Kazakh page for any update. Thanks Kamilla for taking the lead. Bhojpuri is a 
language spoken in parts of north-central and eastern India. It is
spoken in the western part of state of Bihar, the northwestern part of
Jharkhand, and the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh (UP), as well as
adjoining parts of the Nepal Terai. Chandan Kumar Mishra has taken the
lead to work on FUEL Bhojpuri. No computer in available in Bhojpuri and
so it would be great to see the pioneer work towards creating Bhojpur

FUEL Web
The space of web in our life is continuously increasing. Now web
service like web blog, CMS, social networking and wiki are getting much
popular and growing at very fast speed. Therfore concentrating on web
with respect to localization is the need of time. So we came with a
module prepared
by I Felix, in whcih words from blog tools, CMSs, Wiki etc are
incorporated. This module is in beta.

Logo
We are planning to have a new logo and soon we will come
with a new logo that can be able to convey the FUEL aims more clearly.
You can have a look on the work here on the ticket FUEL logo.

Maithili
The
discussion is going on with Maithili Community to work on Computer
Translation Style and Convention Guide for Maithili. Maithili language
has already completed the review work of FUEL entries.
