Are you asking if 'the word myth' comes from Atlantean word? Or are you asking if Atlantis is a myth? The existence of Atlantis is written/recorded. However there are no hard evidence of its existence. That is why it is categorized as myth or make belief. Atlantis might exist in a form of a city, not a continent as it is written. Most probably, the continent was engulfed by a giant tsunami, however if it happened how come we could not find any remnants of the great continent itself. It is only logical if the size of Atlantis was only as big as a city; ancient city that is, unlike the size of New York or Jakarta. Please pose your questions more clearly.
