Booster-Seat Use Needs Boost http://www.jems.com/jems/exclus05/e0201c.html Although MVAs remain the leading cause of death for children of all ages, children ages four to seven who ride in booster seats are 59% less likely to be injured in a crash than children restrained only by a safety belt. However, a report to be published in Annals of Emergency Medicine shows that, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, only about 21% of children ages 4 to 8 rode in a booster seat at least on occasion.
