Bukaty) CLINTON, Mo. - Hundreds of emergency personnel spent Monday night digging through the rubble of an Elks Club to rescue nine people after the building inexplicably collapsed. Tony Komer, the leader of the Clinton Elks Lodge, died in the collapse. About 50 other people - including the nine trapped men - made it out alive. Three people were taken by air ambulance to University of Kansas Medical Center. Their injuries were not believed to be life threatening. About 200 emergency personnel were on the scene, including a specialized rescue team from Whiteman Air Force Base. ...
