Assalamu'alaikum wr wbr. To brother Ahmad Utomo (San Antonio, USA). Brother Ahmad Utomo whom I know, is one of the intellectual muslim who struggle and strive for 'Aqidah Islam', 'Syariah Islam' and the reestablish of The Rasulullah's Islamic State, The Islamic Khilafah. February 19 he sent me the solution on how to reestablish The Islamic Khilafah, with the subject 'Practical Action'. Does anyone have an idea, a suggestion, a solution, a critique or a comment? Please send them to [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Thee do we worship and Thine aid we seek". (Al Fatihah: 5). Wassalam. Ahmad Sudirman ------ PRACTICAL ACTION Ahmad Utomo Assalamu'alaikum There are two points we wished to remind ourselves. 1. Objective (political agenda) 2. Distraction 1. Objective (political agenda) Today the lack of Islamic authority (hence the absence of islamic ruling over all aspects of life) is an indisputable reality. Any sincere muslims who are willing to work for the reestablishment of Islam have to realize that it takes political actions to achieve political change. Therefore, the practical action of a da'i is an interactive-talk one-on-one with members of the ummah in order to challenge every kufr ideas, thoughts, systems and ideologies. A da'i is neither a preacher nor lecturer. A da'i makes political statement, lashes out against rulers who rule with kufr, and elevates the intellectual level of the ummah. The point of any discussion should be clear that the reestablishment of an islamic authority (the caliphate) is an islamic call, a must, a waajib, a fard. it is a must for us to perform salat; it is a waajib to give zakah; and, also, it is a fard to establish a caliphate. Any muslims who conciously deny the necessity of an islamic ruling/authority is putting themselves out of the circle of islam. 2. Distraction a. Myth: unemployment is the problem The core of the problem is not economical, sosial, or educational. The core of the problem is political in nature. Yes, countless muslims need job, food, and shelters. However, these issues should not distract us from the political work. Attempts to cure social and economical ills such as focusing on social charities does not challenge the kufr system. We don't want to run in a circle, patching one problem after another. b. Myth: 'islam' grows in democratic states Muslims should not be too happy with the mushrooming masajid in the US and conclude that islam is winning in the West. Don't forget Suharto had implanted hundreds of masajid across the archipelago for a very simple and cunning reason: go to masjid and leave politics alone! By their very nature, muslims are politicians due to the uniqueness of the islamic aqeeda that is both spiritual and political. "... islam as a religion is NEVER be a problem,"says Henry Kissinger," it is as an ideology." The US is an ideological country, the democratic country. Therefore, the dominant ideology is democracy in the US. Consequently, the US will not let any competing ideology to kill democracy. This is the reality of things: Communist and Democracy, for example, cannot co-exist at the same footing in ONE state. Similarly, Democracy and Islam will always be in contradiction. If anyone claims that islam prospers in the democratic country, one has to think hard and asks: one kind of islam is that? (just remember what kissinger said). c. Myth: The statehood of palestine is the solution of the conflict in the mideast Islamically, the creation of the palestinian state is a problem than a solution. It creates further division among the ummah. Interestingly, some months ago Clinton presided over a banquet attended by Arafat and scores of US businesses and announced billions of dollars being pledged to spur economic growth in the future 'palestinian state'. (their logic is in this way: when everyone's stomach is full, they will not bother to respond to the islamic call). So this is the tactic of the kuffar. Separate the ummah with artificial borders, then, spread vicious lies that the problem of the muslim is fundamentalism, since there is no job around. Muslim should be aware of this age-old trick of divide and conquer. The reestablishment of the Islamic Khilafah is the solution.
