I agree too.  I would rather just leave it there myself, but space is the
issue we are concerned.  Thanks for the input.

I agree. The whole point of version control is that you keep track
of the history of your project. Selectively removing history is
not conducive to that goal, the whole point is that you never
know when you may need a change that seems insignificant at the
time.
