By fresh checkout I meant that I am running a new checkout an empty folder on my local system. ________________________________ From: "Risman, Mark" <[email protected]> To: somen dawn <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected] Sent: Fri, 23 October, 2009 10:22:12 PM Subject: RE: cvs [update aborted]: missing expected branch What is the full command line you are using for your checkout? By "fresh checkout" do you mean you are using an empty directory or are you running a new checkout where there already is one? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of somen dawn Sent: Thursday, October 22, 2009 6:25 AM To: [email protected] Subject: cvs [update aborted]: missing expected branch Hi ppl, This is how I messed up. :( I added a branch tag to a file. Immediately, by accident, I deleted the branch tag from the same file. Then, I used cvs admin -o to delete the file revision created by that branch tag Now when I try to update my local copy with the branch, I get an error "cvs [update aborted]: missing expected branch" If I try to do a fresh checkout of the branch, I get the same error. Please help me to get rid of this error. Thanks, mist. Send free SMS to your Friends on Mobile from your Yahoo! Messenger.
