* Hi,
*
* Anybody know something abaut this error message ?
* when i try to connect to my cyrus imap server this message appears:
* i have nothing changed expect of sending some E-Mails without receiver
* (can this cash the imap server ?)
*
* Nov 15 20:16:26 firewall master[3415]: process 3419 exited, status 0
* Nov 15 20:16:29 firewall master[3422]: about to exec
* /usr/cyrus/bin/imapd
* Nov 15 20:16:29 firewall service-imapd[3422]: executed
* Nov 15 20:16:29 firewall master[3415]: process 3422 exited, signaled to
* death by 11

Reads like master kills its servant, eh? No, this message is displayed
also when a child unexpectedly dies. I have this effect e.g. when I
give a wrong "-C <configfile>" in /etc/cyrus.conf. The master will fire
up the imapd upon connects on 143 and the imapd will puke because it does
not find <configfile>.

To your explanation above: Maybe the imapd has a problem with a special
mail it cannot handle? Maybe you give it a closer look by skimming
through the /var/spool/imap/user/... structure where your user stores
his mails.
