If you are unaware, Emacs includes a tutorial, which introduces many basic concepts, including key combinations such as ‘C-h k’. The tutorial is provided in many languages so it might be available in a language you know well. See the Help menu -> Emacs Tutorial (choose language)... The tutorial introduces many concepts so it can be useful to go through it more than once. You can stop at any point in the tutorial and it will offer to save your location and resume from that point or you can start again from the beginning. Emacs also includes a Guided Tour that can be viewed in Emacs using its built-in web browser, eww, or using a separate web browser. The tour introduces many capabilities that Emacs has. Its web address is: https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/tour/ If you start Emacs with ‘emacs -q’, you should see links to both the Emacs Tutorial (in English) and the Emacs Guided Tour. -- The lyf so short, the craft so long to lerne. - Geoffrey Chaucer, The Parliament of Birds.
