I can't do that.  My network ID button is there, but it won't let me click on it.  It says that the Network  is not installed.

Just run the network ID wizard, this should reconnect it.

As to what made it disappear, I dunno, I’ve had a few machines do that within a few days of first connecting them.

Subject: [info-tech] workstation service

I've got an XP Pro machine that does not log on to the network as of today.  I have discovered that it is missing the workstation service in the services folder.  Does anyone know how I can add this again?  I have tried a couple system restores from previous days when the machine was working properly, but that didn't make a difference.  I have not been able to find any reference to it on Microsoft.  What made it disappear in the first place?

Thanks,

Linda
