I just put in a different one configure it and check. There is one model
of HP NIC that is known to be bad. All the older 4000 series in our
district have them. I can't remember the number off the top of my head.

Ok, how would I do that, never had to check a NIC in the printer  
before, other than to re-seat it. I am willing to try it but need steps.
