Plus if your textbook came with Exam View you can import those questions directly into Moodle. (There are issue with math questions, but the other subjects work great) Okoboji Community Schools uses it extensively and the teachers are beginning to explore the other capabilities such as posting notes so students have 24/7 access to them, discussion boards are popular in the Social Studies department, questionnaires are have also proven very useful for various projects. We also use it for our professional development. Posting needed materials, surveys, instructions, etc. I use it in conjunction with Jing to post video tutorials for common tasks.
