Chad Do you guys use the LTSP from linux to do the terminal services at Okoboji? I was told that you might have been the school that does that with teacher laptops. Just wondering because we are looking to change a bunch of stuff around over this summer since I screwed up my domain somehow. Anyway we were thinking about going to linux. I don't know much about it but my high school principal does. We thought we could save a bunch on license fees by doing this and it would be easier for me to manage.

I think the kids would be more willing. If KD4 could work within its typical framework (smaller OS, quicker, needs less memory), this would be interesting to test with a few groups of students. One could ask for volunteers from the students to see who would be interested. (The bigger hassle would be keeping these Gateway laptops alive) I think LightSpeed is even working on a client for such... Have a good Friday and enjoy the video from DownUnder.
