The important thing is to find out if it is single mode or multimode
fiber. Then you just get a media converter in the speed you need. I got
our last couple from CDW-G

OK, I found out why one wing of my building had such terribly slow  
network speeds. There is a 10meg Media converter running to that end  
of the building.  How do I know what to replace it with, I don't know  
much about fiber. THe patch cable connects to the switch in this  
closet and then fiber runs to the other closet.  I have attached a  
picture of what is currently in there.
