The important thing is to find out if it is single mode or multimode fiber. Then you just get a media converter in the speed you need. I got our last couple from CDW-G

OK, I found out why one wing of my building had such terribly slow network speeds. There is a 10meg Media converter running to that end of the building. How do I know what to replace it with, I don't know much about fiber. THe patch cable connects to the switch in this closet and then fiber runs to the other closet. I have attached a picture of what is currently in there. --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus on the server aea8.k12.ia.us] --------------------------------------------------------- Archived messages from this list can be found at: http://www.mail-archive.com/info-tech@aea8.k12.ia.us/ ---------------------------------------------------------
