According to the SIRS newsletter, SIRS has added an interactive Text to Speech feature that reads articles out loud to students. The text is automatically highlighted in sync with sound, allowing students to follow along as the article is read. Articles can also be downloaded at Audio MP3 files. Like the World Book Web resources, the SIRS Text to Speech capability supports differentiated instruction.
