You can only control your network and Lightspeed does block facebook

There are several ways to skin that cat.

Since you are trying to block devices connecting to your wireless
network you can block by IP range.

Under the Policies tab in Policy Assignments you can enter a IP range
and assign a content filter policy that blocks the
forum-social_networking category or where ever to have put facebook

Depending on your content filter policy you will have to make sure to
block non http protocols to blocked categories this will stop student
and staff from using https to login to facebook

There is going to be a Lightspeed training course in Jefferson this
summer

Well we use Lightspeed TTC for our content filter but it doesn't
seem to block it.

Ok, first identify what you are wanting...

        Cheap

        Fast

        Good

        Pick two of the above.

Cheap and good would be blocking everything but your own
equipment from accessing the wireless network by MAC address or other
means.

Cheap and fast would be running something like openDNS and using
their filtering.

Fast and Good would be installing a content filtering Firewall.

        You get the idea.

Looking for some good advice from you smarter than myself. We
are trying to
block the student iPod Touch's from being able to get to
facebook and
myspace and ect. If someone can help me with that, that would
be great.

Also if you would be willing to share your electronic device
policy that
your school has could you please email it to me personally at
mmuel...@emmetsburg.k12.ia.us or you can post it on the
info-tech list if
        you would like.

But my big thing is blocking them sites on iPod touch's.

        Thanks
