I might recommend re-imaging the eMac again.

If the machine is stuck booting into verbose or single user mode, put
this into Terminal and hit [enter]:
sudo nvram boot-args=

You'll need to put in an Administrator password on the machine, but then
it should boot normally.

Not sure what would have gotten it there in the first place, but hope
that helps.

Subject: [info-tech] Apple Weirdness

Okay apple gurus and not so gurus. Here is a fun little situation I
got myself into (not bad, not good, just different).

I was using my deploy studio to re-image a machine. I chose the wrong
image (Intel iMac on a PPC eMac). NOw when I boot the machine it looks
like it is going into single user mode (command line). Not a bad
thing, just different. Then I get a plain blue screen, then my log
in. The system works fine (both under the intel image and the correct
PPC image) it just boots and shutdowns in command line.

ANyone ever done this before and know of a way to make it act "normal"
again. I do not care, but I know the teacher is going to freak the
first time they see the command line stuff and I would rather not deal
with that.

Thanks in advance.
