Create a Keyboard Shortcut

* right-click a shortcut Icon on the desktop for the app you want to start.

* click Properties
* click the Shortcut Tab
* click in the Shortcut Key box

* hit the key combination you want to start the program, the proper value
will be entered into
the box.

Hint: I use F10 to start Eudora. You may have to try a couple of keys to
get one that is not in use, or you may have to use a combination of keys.

I also have created Shortcut keys to sign on and off line. I use F12 to
sign-on and F11 to sign-off all with a plain ol' 102 key keyboard.

You will notice fancy keyboards in stores that are of poor quality. Don't
buy them. Save the money and find an old IBM keyboard. It weighs a ton
but will last you almost a lifetime. The best part is it doesn't slide
around on the desk and has the old mechanical click feel so you know you
hit a key.

If you have one of those quiet keyboards I suggest you go down to the next
state sale or auction and get a good one. Get 3 or 4 in case one don't
work, they're cheap. Put it in the dishwasher and clean it up.

Now you know how to make a keyboard shortcut and that IBM made the best
keyboards in the business at one time. They also made the best laptops,
and still do...if you can afford it.
