Do you have Omnipage installed?
It is an OCR or optical character recognition program which
contains a both a 16 bit and 32 bit program for scanning text with a
page scanner device. Omnipage's OCR integrates with other
programs like IE and MS Word so you can import scanned
documents while inside those programs.
