The team will not be a big one (3-4 people), and will be focused on two main areas: helping the other teams with technical researches, and developing new cutting-edge Web 2.0-related applications and products. Examples: myFeedz and JSEclipse. You have to be a highly technical person, with people management skills and some product management know-how. You should be very knowledgeable about Web 2.0 and the IT industry in general. You must be customer-focused, have good communication skills, and be able to communicate a strong vision to your team. Above all, you must be enthusiastic, view challenges as opportunities, and collaborate well with the other engineering managers, customers and product management team-members. Engineering will report directly to you and you will be solely responsible for meeting development schedule and quality goals. Your will be required to work with the various internal disciplines in delivering the projects on schedule and on budget. You will also be required to engage with the other team members (locally or remotely) to make sure you correctly understand their needs when working with them. *Knowledge & Skills:* • BS degree. • 6-8 years experience in the web industry. • Prior experience in growing small teams, working with large code bases, coordinating multiple projects and products. • Experience building and deploying web applications with at least two server technologies (PHP, .NET, Ruby, JSP, etc). • Strong Ajax skills (platforms, frameworks). • Strong HTML, JavaScript, CSS knowledge. • Good knowledge of SQL and experience with Database Management Systems (MySQL, MsSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc). • Web 2.0 know-how (blogging, tagging, folksonomies, etc). • Java and Desktop programming represents a plus.
