Dave,
I'm running 2.84 and have had several errors similar to that. When I get these
errors, I stop the post server and delete the three files in iMS\Out\database
(sorry 4 when stopped). When I restart the post server, the database is
recreated and magically the index no longer has problems.
I also do it periodically when the Queue.IDX file starts to get bigger. If you
do it while there is still mail in the queue, it won't be sent. So I try to
do this when everything is cleared out so I don't have to put the queued mail
back into the 'out' directory.
