Howie,
Scenario: POST bounce delivery is generated, Smart Delivery is turned off,
and SMTP server is using all 255 of it's threads. This creates a connection
refused message in the POST server log, correct? I would like to know how I
could limit, or even better, prevent this occurrence. Here are some
follow-up questions:
1. How many attempts does POST make to return a failure/bounce message to
itself?
2. Since this isn't generated by the CFX, but by POST itself, where can this
number of attempts be altered?
3. If I set the POST service threads lower than SMTP service threads would
that create a buffer zone, and possibly keep POST from getting refused
connections?
Warm Regards,
Raven
