Trying to get PHP BB to work with the mail server. I am getting the following errors when it tries to send and email. I tried a normal user for that domain as the user/apss.
Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: Socket Resource id #24, 535 Authentication rejected.
My relay port is 2525, I added this to the PHP.ini file, didn't help.. THats how I got the CFmail tag to work, added port=2525
smtp_port = 2525
ANY IDEAS?
HERE are some options in the PHP BB ADMIN
Use SMTP Server for email
Say yes if you want or have to send email via a named server instead of the local mail function Yes No
SMTP Server Address = mail.travelandsocial.com
SMTP Username
Only enter a username if your SMTP server requires it
SMTP Password
Only enter a password if your SMTP server requires it
