When we first set our server up - about 6 months ago - we found about 10-20% of mail 
was not getting through before the RDNS was set up. Given the proliferation of spam I 
should think this would be a larger percentage now.

Others may have more recent data.

I believe (though I have no evidence to support the proposition) that without a RDNS 
you increase the list of your server getting onto a blacklist as well.
