If the POST Server rejects an email for being malformed it is reported in ReportPostStatus.  The cfx tag rejects email addresses that are blank or do not have an "@" which means the rejection is very basic.

Thanks. This does help a lot!

We still have one area where we need help. We are preparing to implement a module to throw out badly formed addresses before sending to iMS, however we are concerned that if we don't use the same criteria that iMS uses, some addresses that iMS will silently fail will still get through and we will lose tracking integrity.

Howie, is there any way we can get some low level documentation on the good/bad email address criteria iMS uses?

Thanks,
