I think it's a good idea. We can add extensions directly to the gallery system if we want to organise them with licenses, confirmed downloads etc. But we might not be ready for this in the live version. But it's where I'd like t get us to, so we an encourage extension makers to upload their versions. For now we can record all the data on a normal cms page.
