As a counter argument: The bug tracker has over 400 issues of *known* problems, some of which have been there for many years. In my opinion, we need a release that provides ABSOLUTELY NO problems in the core, and explicit acknowledgment that corner case issues are EXPLICITLY going to be addressed in the next release.
There are certainly some red items that need to be addressed, but much of the red on the dashboard are compilers and computer environments that we can not replicate. Many of the failures are test timeouts on machines that we do not have control of making faster. Some of the most troublesome dashboards are ones that build with Wrapping. In my opinion, wrapping does not have a sufficient user/developer community to justify holding up a release. I would really like to see the dashboard have two nightly expected sections. 1) A part that covers the CORE part of ITK that has development support and covers the 10-15 environments that are "most" used, and 2) community contributed parts that have more advanced and specialized builds (i.e. wrapping, fftw, GPU, VTK, OpenCV).
