I've not seen all the recent emails. I've missed some between 9 pm last night and early this morning.
But -- while it seems sensible that people who don't want to discuss it can skip the thread -- it is an issue that has been (again) put out for discussion by the whole church. And if this group can't discuss it ... who can. Can I remind us all perhaps to look at page 10 of "Sexuality and Leadership", re creating a safe place and the suggested covenant. And then go about our business as we please.

Cheers,

Stephen

I was going to suggest this earlier but didn't.

And now I wish that I did.

I'm going to suggest that this email list has already talked about sexuality and theology on a number of occasions. Each time it's needed to stop because of headed discussions, or because it'd gone around in circles for many weeks. And each time it's been a discussion between only a handful of people.

If you would like to continue to discuss sexuality in an electronic forum can we please do it on another forum or email list and not do it on here.

There are people who are lurking or participating on this list who I feel are probably getting hurt or angry or upset or confused during these discussions and I think this is not the space to do it.

Would it be appropriate to suggest that we as a community decide to not discuss this in this forum?

Shalom
