I am trying to install the Nevada Build on a Toshiba Laptop. I have tried builds 42a, 46 and 47 all with the same result. After selecting the solaris load from the Grub menu I get the 3 line Solaris build xx and all that stuff and then the DVD drive stops and nothing happens. I have set the -kd flag in the boot and watched to see where it stops and it is consistant. The last module loaded is drv/sysevent I get the installing message and nothing else afterword. Unfortunately I have reached the limit of my expertise and am looking for help on what to look for next. Any Ideas? This message posted from opensolaris.org
