Ok, I have done some more experimentation with the laptop. I have tried
changing bios settings with no luck. There really are not many changeable
options on the bios. I also tried using the dobiosdev/W 0 option when booting.
It didn't make any difference. I am attaching the last few lines from the
startup to see if anyone has more ideas.

cpu0: x86 (GenuineIntel family 6 model 13 step 8 clock 2000 MHz)
cpu0: Intel(r) Pentium(r) M processor 2.00GHz

PCI Express-device: pci8086,2662 at 1c,1, pcie_pci1
pcie_pci1 is /pci at 0,0/pci8086,2662 at 1c,1
pseudo-device: tzmon0
tzmon0 is /pseudo/tzmon at 0

That is all the further it gets. Any other possible things to try?

Thanks for the help.
