Actually, are you running 'boot cdrom' as the command or just allowing this to try to boot on power on? It seems as if the media it is trying to read as the boot device is not the cdrom as you are thinking. It doesn't say, it just says can't read label, can't open boot device. I suspect it isn't trying to boot using the cd.
