DHCP is the only option for a centralized boot/install/disaster-recovery infrastructur. we have many subnets with different security levels, so we use in every subnet the redundant routers as "ip helpers/DHCP gateways" to the central boot/install/dhcp server. TFTP and NFSv3 is a pain for the firewall group but we have the right stateful firewall, at the moment you can't boot solaris from NFSv4. Mario This message posted from opensolaris.org
