BFU is a specific utility provided by the Nevada Community, so your 
questions would be better directed there, except that they haven't seen 
fit to create a discussion list for things like this.  Sigh.

Anyway, as far as I know, all of the Nevada Community's BFU archives 
available for download are debug versions, but you can build your own 
non-debug versions.  You should be able to BFU a non-debug over debug 
without adverse results.
